Virtualdj djc 5 version4/2/2023 Drag and drop the tracks into the new VirtualFolder and next time you want to play these tracks refer to the virtual folder. Now browse the database or run various searches looking for tracks that are being grouped together. Create a virtual folder by clicking on the red VirtualFolder icon and giving the new folder a title. A virtual folder holds a collection of shortcuts to tracks. To remove a favorite folder reference, select it and click the icon again. Think of Favorite Folders as Shortcuts to a folder in the operating system.Ĭlick and highlight the desired folder, then click the yellow favorite folder icon. All folders have options for moving the order of the folders up and down in the tree and for removing or deleting the folder. Filter folders contain an option for accessing the filter dialog for changing the filter string. The Sidelist can also be use to stage and construct Playlists and VirtualFolders by drag-and-drop of tracks to the panel. It also provides a location for VirtualDJ to moved tracks that were loaded but never played because the DJ loaded a new track to the deck. The Sidelist panel 4 can be used to hold tracks that the DJ knows they will play sometime during their session. Repeat for Mix Cut and Mix Tempo if wanting to set those entry points. Move the track to the position to use as the entry point, and click on the button “Set Entry”, then bring it to the position of exit point, then click “Set Exit”. It does not return to the left order location. There is external power which I guess will be necessary for use as a standalone mixer, but the unit works fine as a Midi controller using bus power. The external inputs can be routed through Virtual DJ (I’m assuming this will only be with the Pro version and not with the supplied version, which more than likely will be LE although I’ve not confirmed this), or alternatively just straight through the unit as true analogue throughs. The Stanton DJC.4 is compact, with small but high quality jogwheels. The effects section is comprehensive and includes fader effects, similar to those on the Novation Twitch. While the mixer is only two channel, it does work with four decks via a deck layer switch for each side, and there’s also a video switch to enable both video and audio crossfading. The controller is built to a higher level of quality than, say, the company’s own SCS.4DJ (and the Reloop controller), being finished with decent rubberised controls, lots of metal and higher-end features such as a replaceable crossfader, standalone mixer capability (phono/line) and balanced master outputs (no booth though) – and is to be priced keenly at “mid 300s” in dollars.ĭesigned to work tightly with Virtual DJ’s feature set, the controller has hot cues, sampler triggers and loop controls in a bank of twelve backlit buttons for each deck. Stanton has debuted its latest DJ controller, the DJC.4, which like the Reloop Beatmix that we announced earlier today, is designed specifically for use with Virtual DJ. The Stanton DJC.4 is a mid-level Virtual DJ controller well built, with lots of decent features.
